"As I'm not English-native speaker, sorry for the inconvenience of my poor English".
Fed up with RSS readers not visiting enough your websites? Think that you're loosing some precious money just because those people are just interested in your content and not your superb ads? Some websites understand you and here are some of the best practices you can find on the web:
- Drop all URLs from your feed: it should only point to your website. Why would they even think to go to another website anyway? I know what you're thinking: it might be a good thing to remove all external links from your website. The web might not be mature enough for the moment but let's keep this idea for the future.
- Keep the RSS content as thin as you can: just show a teaser. You'll have to work hard on this so that readers just click on that f*****g "read more". Think about it, what would bring you more visits: "Jessica Alba naked ..." or "Jessica Alba naked: not for the moment"?
- Do not, -ever-, point to the entry with comments, and create another webpage with only an excerpt and the comments. Wow, you've gained a few clicks!
